Rottnest Island Authority - Supply and Delivery of High Voltage (HV) Feed Equipment: Transformer Kiosks and Ring Main Units (RMUs)

The existing High Voltage (HV) Power Supply to the desalination plant on Rottnest Island is reaching its capacity. As a result, a program to upgrade the HV network on the island is being undertaken, including the upgrade of the distribution network and HV Cabling.

Installation of a number of new substations will allow the Rottnest Island Authority (RIA) to reconfigure the existing distribution network to prepare the network for future expansion on the island and secure the power supply to the desalination plant for the island’s drinking water.

The Rottnest Island Authority (RIA), therefore requires the supply and delivery of:

• Category 1

Two 1000kVA transformer kiosks (with integrated HV switchgear and Low Voltage (LV)); and

• Category 2

Five 11kV ring main units (RMUs).

Note, the scope excludes:

• Delivery of equipment by barge to the island;
• Installation and commissioning of the new Northern High Voltage (HV) electrical feed; and
• Supply and installation of all other items required including HV cable.

Respondents may submit an Offer for one (1), or more categories.

The Customer Contract established as a result of this Request may be awarded in any of the following ways:

• a single supplier for both categories; or
• a single supplier for an individual category.
