Description
REQUEST TITLE: RESPITE CAMPS
REQUEST NUMBER: DCP001-12
ISSUED BY: THE CHILDREN AND COMMUNITY SERVICES MINISTERIAL BODY THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT FOR CHILD PROTECTION
The Children and Community Services Ministerial Body through the Department for Child Protection (the Department) is seeking responses from suitable Respondents to provide recreational/therapeutic Respite Camps for children and young people in general and relative foster care, aged between 6-17 years.
Consistent with the Delivering Community Services in Partnership Policy, July 2011, the Department intends to engage with the not-for-profit community sector, including Local Government Authorities, for the provision of this service.
The primary aim of the camps is to provide much needed respite to the full-time foster carers of children in the Chief Executive Officer's (CEO's) care. The camps also aim to provide opportunities for a safe and stimulating environment for the children, which may include life-skill building components.
