Description

Geoscience Australia (GA) operates and maintains a network of continuously operating Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) stations located Australia, Antarctica and the Pacific. The data from these stations is used for a myriad of scientific and societal positioning applications that range from measuring the tectonic motion of the Australian plate to supporting intelligent transport.

(a)This opportunity is one of a number which will provide GA with equipment to fully upgrade approximately 200 remote GNSS sites over the next 3 years.

(b)GA is expecting to build sites progressively over a 3 year project period to a standard engineering design, keeping equipment and suppliers as consistent as possible over this period.

(c)Under this opportunity, GA expects to be able to rely on a single supplier to provision the required equipment.
