Description

The Department of Defence (Defence) is seeking tenders from industry for the supply of on-line legal information resources and related services under an overarching Standing Offer Panel.

The Defence Library Service (DLS) has responsibility for managing the development and delivery of library and information services to meet the needs of Defence. This includes the provision of quality information resources to support Defence capability. DLS has libraries located in 34 Defence sites across Australia. DLS staff will assist customers to access online legal information services and promote their use.

Approximately 500 Defence personnel use online legal information services. These personnel may work for any group/area within Defence but the majority work for:

  • The Defence Legal Service;
  • Defence Material Organisation, Legal;
  • The Australian Military Court;
  • The Office of the Directorate of Military Prosecutions;
  • The Defence Library Service
