Description
GMW is seeking a Principal Contractor for the High Voltage & Low Voltage upgrade works which includes the following:
Relocation of the HV cable and conduit under Chalka creek by underground horizontal boring is required to provide adequate protection to the cable from damage during future flood events, while also avoiding impacts to Cultural Heritage and Native Vegetation. The New route will also remove significant OHS risks associated with the HV cable running through the bridge deck at Messengers regulator. New cable to join existing cable at Shorts Pipeline and River Tracks and run through to the HV transformer within the Pump Station compound where it will be re-terminated.
Low Voltage Upgrade works at Hattah Lakes Pump Station, involving new cabling from HV transformer to new Power Connection Cubicle (LV cabinet) and replacement of generator changeover switch with new ‘Power Connection Cubicle’ and installation of access platform.
Civil works at main HV kiosk at Hattah-Robinvale Rd and re-termination of HV cable.
