Construction of Nowergup Depot Upgrades for C-Series Maintenance

NOTE: PTA230001 Major Works (Book 3) Proposed Major Works Contract will be issued by way of Addendum.

Scope:

Upgrading of the existing Nowergup Depot to accommodate the increased fleet size, as well as provide capacity for the upcoming B-Series mid-life refurbishment. Stabling at the Nowergup Depot is close to capacity and will remain so until the Bellevue Depot is connected to the urban rail network from May 2025, at which point B-Series railcars will be stabled at Bellevue to operate services for the Heritage Lines.

To accommodate additional railcars and provide commissioning and wheel lathe facilities to the C-Series maintainer, the following scope modifications are required to the Nowergup Depot over two Separable Portions (SP):

• SP 1 - An extension to the northern end of the Wheel Lathe Road (track) shall be constructed as per the design documentation. This includes all the associated, demolition works, civil works such as; drainage, earth filling and modification of the existing swale, track formation, track works, buffer stop installation and installation of shunter paths.
• SP 2 - Installation of shunter paths on Stow Roads 15 and 16 and associated works (Refer to layout drawing in Appendix I - Shunter Path Layout Drawings).
