Supply and Install a Public Address System at Queensland Museum

Offerors are invited to tender for the supply and installation of a public address system at levels 0 to 4 of the public display areas at Queensland Museum, South Bank, Brisbane.

The Queensland Museum requires the installation of a new multi-zone addressable paging system. The system will primarily be used by staff for verbal announcements, both ad-hoc and pre-recorded (e.g. to remind patrons of the impending closure of the Museum at the end of each day), but is also required to have the capability to disseminate music/audio.
The system shall be independent to the existing EWIS system, however, an interface shall be provided to permit the ‘ducking’ of any audio being disseminated on the system in event of a fire alarm, etc. An interface shall also be provided to permit the ‘ducking’ of the audio being played through the audio visual systems in the Dino Garden and on Level 4.

A mandatory Industry Briefing will take place at 10:00am on Tuesday 16 March 2010 at Arts Queensland Facilities Operations, level 3, 31 Merivale Street, South Brisbane QLD 4101, which will be followed by a work site inspection. Offerors who do not attend this mandatory Industry Briefing will not be eligible to submit an Offer.
