Description

The RAES First Nations Community Microgrids Project is designed to transition three remote Aboriginal communities Pipalyatjara, Yalata, and Oak Valley; from a reliance on diesel generated electricity to a more sustainable model incorporating photovoltaic (PV) solar panels and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

This project is pivotal in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing the reliability and resilience of electricity supply in these remote locations.

The Owner's Engineer will be tasked with developing a comprehensive engineering design, encompassing site layout, earthing grid design, protection review and configuration files, SCADA requirements and integration into the RAES SCADA system, low voltage (LV) and high voltage (HV) integration, and the creation of standard designs, such as switchboards, that can be standardised for use in future sites.
