Description

The aim of the check testing program is to identify non-compliant electrical equipment and remove it from the market to prevent risk to Queensland and other Australian consumers. The Electrical Safety Office (ESO) obtains electrical equipment from the marketplace for testing by specialised laboratories. The laboratories test for compliance against selected clauses of the relevant Australian Safety Standards, with the ESO undertaking compliance actions when non compliances are identified.
The Customer has issued this Invitation to Offer with the objectives of:
• Engaging a panel of laboratories. This panel will enable the Electrical Safety Office (The Principal) to engage listed laboratories without the need for lengthy quotation processes.
• Initiating uniform check testing of electrical equipment between the laboratories
• Standardise reporting to include expanded result details
• Ensuring that check testing is conducted on electrical equipment to the relevant standards.
• To ensure critical safety requirements of the standard are being complied with.
Testing will primarily be on in-scope electrical equipment but could on occasion include electrical equipment that is not in-scope.

Offers must be lodged by 2:00 PM Australian Eastern Standard Time on Wednesday 8th February 2017.
