Independent Safety Assessor - Forrestfield- Airport Link

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) is seeking an Independent Safety Assessor (ISA) to be engaged to provide the PTA with independent evidence that will support demonstration that the Forrestfield-Airport Link (FAL) project:

I. has applied a consistent and mature approach to safety assuring that risk to safety is managed to so far as is reasonably practicable;
II. has achieved or is on track to achieve its safety performance objectives and targets; and
III. is safe to construct, commission, operate, maintain and decommission.

The ISA is to provide this assurance through independent reviews and audits of the Project that will be based on a structured program with a particular focus on critical project risks.
It is a mandatory requirement that all nominated assessors:
I. are appropriately certified and registered with Exemplar Global or equivalent as:

• Safety Management System Auditor or Lead Auditor subject to their function; and
• Quality Management System Auditor or Lead Auditor for ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 9001:2015 subject to their function.

II. Have appropriate experience and recognition as an auditor for rail safety management systems and Rail Safety National Law.
