Youth Support Services in Longreach and Gayndah/Mundubbera

The Queensland Government purchases Youth Support services as an early intervention response to young people aged 12 to 18 years who present with risk factors that may impact on their well-being and result in harm, homelessness, and/or negative outcomes.

Youth Support services provide consistent assessment to identify appropriate individual responses for vulnerable young people to help them achieve positive life outcomes and, where appropriate, facilitate the delivery of effective and coordinated support to young people with multiple and/or complex needs.

The purpose of this procurement process is to contract with suitable supplier/s to deliver two Youth Support services in the Central Queensland Region in Longreach and Gayndah / Mundubbera for young people aged 12 to 18 years at risk of:

• disconnecting from their family, community, or support network
• disengaging from school, training and/or employment
• harm including self-harm
• homelessness.

This procurement is for the period 2018-19 to 2021-22, on the basis of an initial 12 month contract commencing 1 July 2018 with an option to extend the contract for an additional two years subject to the department’s ongoing requirements and the supplier’s satisfactory performance.

Suppliers may offer to deliver services in one or both of Longreach and Gayndah / Mundubbera.
