Description
New monitoring bores are required to provide valuable data and fill knowledge gaps that will complement and improve the Department of Water’s understanding of groundwater resources across Western Australia.
A number of bores to be constructed (up to 300m depth) will be within the normally accepted boundaries of the Perth Metropolitan and surrounding area. Bores may also be constructed in the South-West, Mid-West, Pilbara and Kimberley regions. The bores that may be constructed in the South-West region will be located in the areas as far south as Karridale and as far east as Nannup. The bores that may be constructed in the Mid-West region will be located in the areas as far north as Carnarvon and as far east as Moora. The bores that may be constructed in the Pilbara and Kimberley will include, but not limited to the areas of West Canning Basin, Millstream, Broome and Kununurra.
