General Foster Care Services - Regional Areas

The Children and Community Services Ministerial Body through the Department for Child Protection and Family Support (the Department) is seeking responses from suitable Respondents to provide General Foster Care Services - Regional Areas (General Foster Care Services). Consistent with the Delivering Community Services in Partnership Policy, July 2011, the Department intends to engage with the not-for-profit community services sector and Local Government Authorities for the provision of this service.

General Foster Care Services are a key element of a range of placement services available to meet the needs of children and young people in the care of the Chief Executive Officer. The service aims to provide children and young people with a safe, secure and stable placement. The service will ensure that Carers are recruited and appropriately trained, assessed and supported to provide quality placements and will contribute towards the number of children and young people that have improved outcomes against the Dimensions of Wellbeing.

A non-mandatory briefing will be conducted at 9.30am on Friday, 30 August 2013 at the Department for Child Protection and Family Support, Learning and Development Centre, 363 Oxford Street, Mount Hawthorn, WA, 6016. Details of district locations where video conferencing facilities will be available are outlined in the Request Document.
