Women and Children - Safe Accommodation Service

The Department invites your organisation to submit an Offer and negotiate with the Department to provide the Safe Accommodation Service through a Direct Negotiation Request process. The Safe Accommodation Service is intended to operate as a step-down from emergency crisis accommodation. The Safe Accommodation Service will be for women, with or without accompanying children who are not in immediate crisis but require additional time to heal. Women and children using the Safe Accommodation Service will have achieved a sense of stability and safety following a family and domestic violence (FDV) crisis and will feel ready and have the capacity to start identifying their needs, develop safety and recovery plans, and engage with supports that will be closely located within the Ruah Community Services (Ruah) Centre for Women and Children (RCWC) building. The successful Respondent will operate the 13 new units located in the RCWC building which will accommodate up to 13 women and 26 children at any one time.
