Supply & Implementation of Train Control System Remote Terminal Units

This project will replace the signalling RTUs with the Schneider M580 model (chosen after PTA internal laboratory tests and assessment of alternative options) which will undergo extensive study and trial before it is accepted and introduced as a replacement for the remaining sections as outlined below. In addition, Optical Fibre will be implemented to the required locations to meet technical requirements, enhance reliability and align with industry best practice. This Tender is for the supply and implementation of the Schneider M580 RTU’s in Section 1 (see table below) ONLY with an option to extend the contract for Phase 2 – Section 2 to 8 subject to PTA funding approval and based on contractor performance on completion of Phase 1.

Phase 1 – Section 1 - Victoria Park to Cannington (Includes trial site in Cannington area) – 5.800km to 12.270km, Armadale Line:
• Supply, program, install, test and commission M580 RTU device as designed;
• Supply and installation of electrical cables required for the RTU system;
• Supply and installation of optical fibre patch cables; and
• Commissioning documentation including test certificates, ITP, marked up test copy drawings, I/O lists and as-built RTU code.
