Fleet (Pool Car) Replacement

GU will replace twenty-two (22) of its existing pool cars with new four and six cylinder vehicles ranging from light to medium sized cars. In conjunction with its focus on sustainability and with a view of reducing our carbon-footprint, we are also pursuing options to replace petroleum powered vehicles with hybrid and electric cars. The current fleet is a mix of different products from different OEMs. Our intention is to use this tender to review our vehicle mix. The below provides guidance as to what the make-up of our fleet will be in the future:

• 10-35% Light vehicles

• 25-50% Small vehicles
• 25-50% Medium vehicles
• 25-50% Low carbon foot print vehicles (across all sizes)

GU is committed to a strategy of ‘buying local’. To this end we intend to purchase vehicles from at least two dealerships. One local to our Nathan campus and one near our Gold Coast campus.
