Description

ANSTO is Australia’s national nuclear research and development organisation and the centre of Australian nuclear expertise. ANSTO is responsible for delivering specialised advice, scientific services and products to government, industry, academia and other research organisations. In particular, a central part of ANSTO’s mission is the operation of the Institute for Environmental Research (IER). The IER aims to provide government and policy makers with advice that will enable them to make informed decisions about the best way to manage the environment, including our vital water and land resources.

ANSTO is expanding its accelerator capabilities, by creating a ‘Centre for Accelerator Science’ to meet the growing needs of Accelerator based science. Part of the scope of works for the ‘Centre for Accelerator Science’ is the procurement of new SF6 equipment, used for the transfer of SF6 gas between the accelerators and the storage tanks. The SF6 equipment is the object of this scope of works. The scope of work for this contract is for the design, fabrication, assembly, factory acceptance testing, supply and commissioning of the SF6 equipment described in Section 3 & 4 of this document. The requirements of this SF6 equipment are listed throughout section 3.
