Description
The objective of this tender is to award five (5) contracts for the supply of prepared stone ballast to stockpile and/or train in the following areas:
• Brisbane District – Contract ATC. 428
• Toowoomba District – ATC. 429
• Maryborough District – ATC. 431
• Toowoomba District (Thallon line) – ATC. 883
• Barcaldine District – ATC. 911
For each of the five (5) areas, one supplier will be selected and awarded the contract.
Suppliers will not be disadvantaged for submitting partial offerings, i.e. for not submitting proposals that cover all five areas (or more than one). Queensland Rail encourages all suppliers to make submissions only on areas they can service effectively and competently. Nevertheless, Queensland Rail may combine contracts if suppliers demonstrate capability in more than one area and both technical and commercial benefits are identified.
