Provision of Bushfire Mitigation Services

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) is responsible for fire risk management on unallocated crown land (UCL) and unmanaged reserves (UMR) throughout the State of Western Australia. This responsibility required DFES to analyze and assess fire risks state-wide to determine if there is a requirement to engage a Contractor to provide bushfire mitigation services. Mitigation services include but are not limited to vegetation management, chemical treatment, fire breaks, and supplementary services.

Under this Request, DFES is seeking to refresh the existing Panel of qualified and experienced Contractors to provide bushfire mitigation services throughout the State of Western Australia on an 'as and when required' basis.

This refresh process is specifically being conducted to add suitably qualified suppliers to undertake variety of work to support DFES's fire risk management operations on UCL and UMR, for the following regions only:

• Kimberley
• Pilbara
• Great Southern
• Upper Great Southern
• Midlands-Goldfields
• Midwest-Gascoyne

Respondents will be able to nominate to provide Services in one or more region.

The regions of Metropolitan, South West and Lower South West, are explicitly excluded from this refresh due to these regions being sufficiently covered by the existing panel contract.

Contractors currently contracted under DFES218422 are not required to respond.
