Meter Telemetry Panel

Goulburn-Murray Water (GMW) are seeking to establish a panel of suitably qualified contractors for the installation of telemetry units.

The Murray Darling Basin Telemetry Project (MDB TUP) objective is to improve water resource management and compliance by increasing telemetry installation within identified high priority locations:

• GMW’s four Water Supply Protection Areas (WSPAs) where existing economic, environment, social and cultural risks are high, and
• At high use sites from the Murray Trading Zone 7, which meet the primary threshold.

The outcome from this project will be the installation of 695 telemeters on existing meters across the priority WSPAs and high use sites from the Murray Trading Zone 7 which meet the primary threshold.

In addition to the MDB TUP sites, GMW have identified an additional approx. 300 meters that would be significant benefit for telemetry to be installed as part of GMW’s asset improvement program over the next two years.

This will take the combined total number of Telemetry Units to be installed to approx. 1000
