Description
The Aquatic Science and Assessment Division within the Sustainability and Biosecurity Directorate of the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development requires the design and construction of one mono-hulled research vessel. The vessel may be of single or twin-engine design and Offers of both designs are encouraged from all Respondents.
The vessel will be used to conduct research operations in coastal areas on the Western Australian coast between Augusta to Exmouth, particularly the Metropolitan region and adjacent offshore islands, but have the capacity to service other regions if the need arises.
It will be operated by a crew of two and have capacity for an additional two personnel for periods of up to 10 days at sea. It will also be capable of day trips with crew and a minimum of an additional 6 personnel aboard.
