Arts Queensland - Arts Properties and Facilities - has a requirement for a suitably qualified contractor to undertake works for the Electrical Safety Program Stage 1- Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) and Stage 2 - Queensland Museum (QM) & Art Gallery (QAG)

The works covered in the Electrical Safety Program is for the detail design, supply installation, testing, commissioning and warranty of the Electrical Services installation and other works as specified within Stages 1 and 2 of the Queensland Cultural Centre.

The Arts Queensland Cultural Precinct facilities include an extensive LV electrical distribution network, some reaching the end of its economically viable serviceable life therefore as part of an on-going targeted programmen of upgrade works across the AQ Cultural Precinct, the switchboards / distribution boards require upgrade works as part of this particular project.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Only Companies who attend the Mandatory Industry Briefing will be eligible to submit an offer
  • Full Compliance with the Techincal Specification
  • Must hold a PQC Level 3 Rating or higher

Mandatory Industry Briefing (MIB): A Mandatory Industry Briefing (MIB) will take place at 10:00am on Wednesday, 13th January 2016 at the State Library Queensland, meeting initially at Level 1 Foyer, Stanley Place, South Brisbane QLD 4101 , which will be followed by a work site inspection.

No late attendees will be admitted.
Refer to Section 2, of the Additional Provisions Tender Response for Mandatory Industry Briefing Details as well as the “MIB Meeting Room location map” for visual directions.

Important registration information:We request interested suppliers read the tender documents thoroughly prior to registering for the briefing and site inspections to ensure they:

  • Have the required capacity and capability to appropriately resource the complex requirements of this tender; and
  • Can comply with the briefing/site inspection requirements which is limited to two (2) representatives only at any one time during the scheduled activities, one (1) of which must be from the offering entity at all times.

We request that any entity wishing to attend, ensure they register their details promptly via the method indicated in Section 2.3.2.5 of the Additional Provisions Section 2.
