Description
The Bennett Brook Disability Justice Centre uses Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) system for all communications at the Centre 24 hours per day, seven days per week. The DECT system (Ascom) was installed when the Centre opened in 2015 and comprises handsets, base stations, software and alarms. Several handsets were replaced approximately 2022 with three due to be replaced in 2026. The base stations have never been replaced and have surpassed their serviceable life. Additionally, assessment of the Ascom system has not occurred since 2015 and subsequently updates or upgrades have not been implemented. A thorough assessment of the Centre infrastructure was urgently undertaken, and this identified the requirement to also upgrade the server, alarm, software and licensing as part of the base stations replacement. Therefore, the Contractor is required to supply and install the upgraded base stations and associated components.
