Description

The primary goal of this project is to strengthen the long-term sustainability of the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHS) sector as a fundamental provider of Indigenous primary healthcare services. The project objectives are to:

  • build the capacity of organisations within the sector to generate income and improve grant competitiveness
  • support and improve ACHHSs access to appropriate claiming under the Medicare Benefits Scheme
  • build the resilience of organisations to withstand fluctuations in income
  • strengthen the organisational skills and capabilities of organisations to support long-term financial sustainability

  • strengthen the ACCHS sector’s ongoing engagement in health system innovation and participation in regional health and workforce initiatives.
