Description

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) has, at present, a total of 91 Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) all throughout its Urban Railway Network. This number is expected to increase in the coming years due to major projects currently being delivered.

The primary function of the UPS is to provide continuous power supply to PTA’s critical loads (Signalling and Communication Equipment) in the network during a power interruption or failure of the normal supply and/or Standby Supply. The failure of the UPS to deliver this function can result in train delays. In order to avoid disruption of train services, it is very important to maintain the UPSs in their current or best state.

The PTA seeks tenders from suitable suppliers to assist the Electrical Services Branch in carrying out these maintenance activities for a period of 3 years.
