Supply, Delivery, Installation and Commissioning of One (1) Tissue Arrayer machine for Division of Tissue Pathology, PathWest - Nedlands

PathWest Laboratory Medicine WA (PathWest) provides pathology services to four major tertiary teaching hospitals, metropolitan and rural public sector hospitals, private medical and pathology practices and regional areas throughout Western Australia.

Anatomical Pathology services at the QEII Medical Centre provide testing on samples referred from the Sir Charles Gardner Hospital site and from remote locations for the following analyses: diagnostic histopathology; cytology; coronial and non-coronial post-mortem examinations; electron microscopy; and molecular pathology.

The Molecular Anatomical Pathology laboratory is a referral laboratory for cancer diagnosis and the detection of somatic mutations for the diagnosis, prognostication of tumours and selection of targeted anti-cancer therapy.

The Molecular Pathology Section within Anatomical Pathology PathWest is recognised in WA as a leading laboratory for specialised somatic cancer molecular testing in highly specialised fields of pathology, particularly in lymphoma, melanoma, breast cancer, lung, brain, bone and soft tissue tumours.
