Clifton Springs Tank Renewal D&C

This project is for the renewal of Barwon Water’s largest potable water tank, a 32ML steel storage in Drysdale that directly services Clifton Springs/Drysdale and supplies transfer mains to Bellarine Peninsula towns of Portarlington, Indented Head and St. Leonards.

Design and Construction services required for the tank upgrade are inclusive of:

• Investigation and assessment activities to facilitate detailed design for renewal activities
• Roof and roof structure replacement
• Access structure and connection renewals and other modifications
• Internal and external coating replacement
• Commissioning

The Clifton Springs Tank can only go offline during the winter off-peak season. In peak season over summer, the needs of the dependant supply networks cannot be met without the tank online.

Off peak winter season

- Beginning of May 2026 to beginning of October 2026 (inclusive of draining and commissioning). See the Contract Scope of Works document for further information.

- It is critical that the tank be back online and in-service ahead of the summer period.

The Contractor will need to consider the timing of key activities with respect to the tank’s shutdown window.
