Description

The Department of Health as System Manager has a requirement for a Consultant to develop components of the 10-year Health and Social Care Workforce Strategy (Workforce Strategy) for the Western Australian (WA) health system.

The Sustainable Health Review, Final Report (2019) outlined and discussed the importance of culture and workforce in driving key elements of sustainability and supporting new models of care. Specifically, Recommendation 26 identified the necessity to build capability and capacity in workforce planning to develop the health and social care workforce of the future. This includes the implementation priority of the Workforce Strategy to identify key initiatives and strategies to build a sustainable workforce to meet the WA needs now and into the future. This aims to deliver our vision of a safe, high quality, and sustainable health system for the WA community
