Berri Barmera Council
T4-26 - Irrigation Automation Renewals
Details
Description
Council invites tenders from suitably experienced and qualified contractors for the renewal of existing irrigation systems at two Council-managed open space assets located in Barmera and Monash, South Australia.
The existing irrigation systems at both locations comprise sub-surface drip irrigation that has reached the end of its serviceable life and is experiencing frequent failures, resulting in ongoing maintenance issues and reduced irrigation performance. Council has identified the need to renew these systems to improve reliability, operational efficiency, and water distribution through the installation of modern automated pop-up sprinkler systems.
The works include the decommissioning and disconnection of the existing sub-surface drip irrigation systems and the supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of new fully automated irrigation systems at both sites.
The two projects are:
Barmera Sargent Park Reserve – irrigation renewal including provision of a new pump installation.
Monash Oval – irrigation renewal connecting into an existing water main.
Tenderers may submit a conforming tender covering both sites. Council intends for the works to be delivered in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, industry best practice, and Council requirements.
