Description

The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions(DBCA), Parks and WildlifeExmouth is responsible for the management of Ningaloo Marine Park on the North-West Cape and surrounding Island Nature Reserves. The district is required to undertake works programs in these reserves and also to conduct management of marine mammals around the Gascoyne and Pilbara and state wide on request.

Accordingly, DBCA requires the construction, supply, delivery and commissioning of an 8 to 9 metre patrol vessel to be of rigid inflatable design, with foam collars replacing the inflatable bladders. The vessel is intended for general marine park work off the north-west coast and will replace the existing vessel “Cetea”. The vessel is to be delivered on a heavy duty registered aluminium trailer, in full 2C survey (without exemption) and ready for operation.
