Description

The Department of Water (hereafter DoW) is considering the installation of data loggers in all operating monitoring bores in the near future. Prior to installing such a large number of data loggers, DoW intends to undertake an evaluation of a variety of data loggers to determine the operational effectiveness of data collection and reporting.

DoW proposes to supply the successful Respondent with a variety of data loggers for installation in 28 existing high-priority monitoring bores in confined aquifers (AM19 – AM39) in the southern portion of the Gnangara Mound (see location on Attachment B).

Through these trials, DoW aims are to determine the advantages and disadvantages of a range of non-vented sensors and to assess the related cost-effectiveness of their operation and associated data collection and reporting

This project outcomes will enable DoW to select a preferred data logger and data collection methods by comparing efficiency gains and cost benefits over traditional manual data collection.
