Description

The Department for Child Protection (DCP) seeks to better protect the most vulnerable members of our community so they grow up well cared for, connected and empowered to reach their full potential.

DCP is exploring the development of a pilot model, whereby one or multiple Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations may be sought to provide support and training to Kinship Carers of Aboriginal children and young People across South Australia. Any model developed and delivered will:

  • be developed in consultation with Aboriginal carers and with relevant areas of DCP, in line with evidenced best practice
  • provide Kinship Carers with support, training, assessment, advocacy and advice services
  • respond to the specific cultural requirements of Aboriginal children and young people

DCP supports partnership and consortium approaches to service delivery and encourage all interested service providers to attend this tender briefing.

For more information on the tender briefing and to register attendance in person or via web conference please visit DCP’s Eventbrite page.
