Supply of Mobile Garbage Bins (MGB)

The City of Onkaparinga is the largest metropolitan council in South Australia.

City of Onkaparinga kerbside waste collection services includes the following;

1. 1 x 140 litre red lidded MGB for residual waste collected weekly
2. 1 x 240 litre green lidded MGB for organics collection collected fortnightly
3. 1 x 240 litre yellow lidded MGB for co-mingled recycling collected fortnightly.

Residual waste is collected in house using robotic armed control vehicles (RACV) and our trained employees. The residual waste stream performed in house also includes the delivery, servicing and replacement of 140 litre MGB's.
Green organics and recycling bins are collected by contractor Solo Resource Recovery which, also provide delivery, servicing and replacement of 240 litre MGB.

For the past 3 years, an average of 2,000 140 litre MGB, 100 240 litre, and 850 lids have been purchased each year.

Note: these amounts are indicative, actual amounts may fluctuate.

The chosen supplier must hold Standardsmark licence(s) for the manufacturing of 140 litre and 240 litre mobile garbage bins to AS 4123.1-2008 standard. Each MGB will consist of a minimum 30% recycled content.
