Client data management software and training for the Integrated Case Management Program
Details
Description
The Integrated Case Management Program (ICMP) aims to reduce the risk of HIV transmission from infected individuals who knowingly expose others to the risk of infection. The ICMP provides intensive support to individuals with complex psycho-social needs who place others at risk of HIV infection via an outreach service.
Due to the sensitivity of HIV case management and the confidential nature of the work of the ICMP a secure database is required for:
- client referrals
- case note records
- interventions
- any statutory actions taken under the Public Health Act 2016.
On occasion, there may need to be statutory interventions as approved by the Chief Health Officer in relation to Public Health risk management. This requires proficient software that allows ICMP staff to easily enter and extract relevant client information and data for the submission of Briefing Notes in a timely fashion.
The current MS-Access Client 2 database used by the ICMP was established in the 1990s and updated irregularly since development. The database is no longer fit for purpose and does not hold functionality for reporting on key performance indicators and other reporting requirements. An improved database and subsequently improved reporting functions will assist the ICMP to increase service outcomes for its clients. This will in turn provide improved health outcomes for the community through more effective management of clients who represent a material public health risk of HIV transmission.
The ICMP is seeking a service provider to replace the current MS-Access Client 2 database and software, with an up to date and fit for purpose solution that meets the ICMP’s current and future needs in managing their clients and reporting requirements
