Australian Government Department of Defence
ENGAGEMENT OF STATISTICAL SUPPORT FOR DEFENCE
Details
Description
Logistics Assurance Branch (LAB) seeks to engage an Outsourced Service Provider (OSP) delivering specialist statistical analysis services for the purposes of logistical assurance sampling, specifically the execution of the National Asset and Inventory Sample (NAIS) and Military Support Items Impairment Sample (IS) from July 2025.
In order to certify the statistical methodology and results over an organisation as large and complex as Defence, the OSP must have at least one person classified as an expert in the field of statistical analysis. The proposed engagement will have deliverable outcomes including the annual methodology, analysis plans and final outcomes report. It will be for a three-year period commencing from FY 2025-26, with two additional 12 months extension options, subject to Key Performance Indicators and deliverables being achieved. This will allow for consistency in adapting and refining the methodologies as ERP emerges and reaches maturation in sustainment.
