Garden Maintenance Services at Kings Park and Botanic Garden

BGPA requires the provision of gardening and grounds maintenance services at Kings Park and Botanic Garden. As standard, BGPA requires three (3) personnel for six (6) hours daily, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays), for a total of 90 hours per week. As outlined in Section 2.2 Hours of Service – additional weekend hours may be required on occasion. This will be requested and agreed in writing at least one (1) week prior by the Customer’s Representative and the Contractor. The Contractor must carry out daily blowing of hard surfaces, including pathways and pedestrian areas, and collect litter to ensure safety, functionality, and visual appeal. After completing daily grounds tasks, the Contractor will assist the Customer with various horticultural tasks for the remainder of the shift. These include seasonal planting, weed control in garden beds and paved areas, mulching, pruning shrubs and trees, brush cutting around trees and pathways, watering, fertilising, simple reticulation maintenance, and applying herbicide as outlined in Section 2.1 General Services. All work must comply with Australian Standards and Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations. Service completion reports must be submitted monthly, as specified in Section 2.15 Monthly Inspection Report. The Contractor shall maintain all outdoor areas to ensure safety, functionality, and visual appeal.
