Description
There are a number of major rail projects underway across Queensland at differing stages of development. At times the Queensland Government may require an independent assessment of information provided under rail safety legislation.
At times the Queensland Government is required to respond to significant rail issues. The issue may result from a specific rail incident or a general concern about the condition of rail infrastructure or the nature of rail operations.
The Queensland Government therefore requires access to technical rail knowledge and expertise to assist with these matters. Specialist knowledge is sought in the areas of above rail, below rail and operating arrangements including post incident response. This arrangement will allow for the rapid engagement of technical experts.
