Description
Biosolids are a product of the waste water treatment process which require drying before they can be beneficially reused. The drying process is a multi-staged process and is to be coordinated to accommodate the continuous production of sludge material being processed daily at the site.
The West Wodonga Wastewater Treatment Plant services Wodonga and the surrounding areas such as Baranduda, Barnawartha, Bandiana and Kiewa as well as trade waste. The plant collects approximately 12ML of wastewater per day which is treated on site using an advanced treatment process for both the liquid and solid streams. Services are sought for a three year term to undertake air drying and stockpiling at the plant.
North East Water are looking to engage the services of a contractor for a three year period to manage the Bio-Solids at the West Wodonga Wastewater Treatment Plant. The successful contractor will be required to work closely with the West Wodonga Wastewater Treatment Plant team to accommodate the continuous production of sludge material being processed daily at the site.
The contractor will be responsible for air drying, stockpiling and cataloguing the bio-solids during the designated drying season so that 100% of the plants bio-solids are removed from the drying beds each year by the seasons end.
