Description

The Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) is seeking to establish a Marine Engineering Technical Service Network (METSN) panel for the provision of marine engineering advice and services.The services will include:


- Conducting engineering assessments and analysis in support of maritime acquisition and sustainment requirements including advice on sea trials, testing and acceptance, survey, etc;


- Project Management for modification and equipment installations, including where necessary, engaging sub-contractors where in-house expertise is not available.This may also include the provision of equipment and parts, including supply, delivery and warranty as well as engaging relevant sub-contractors where necessary to undertake the required work.


- Providing commercial advice on maritime acquisition and sustainment engineering matters.


- Act as a Design Reviewer when required, on Statutory and Class Certification.


- Providing advice on non-class certification requirements.


- Providing technical risk assessments.


- Providing advice on in-service failures and modifications.


- Providing advice on in-service sustainment and life cycle management.


- Conducting reviews of contract deliverables.
