Description

The Opportunity

The Victim Services Funding Program: Building Capacity Funding 2024-26 (the Program) is funded by Department of Justice and Attorney-General (DJAG). It is administered by Victim Assist Queensland. An open application process with criteria will be undertaken to determine the allocation of funding. The funding is open to incorporated, not-for-profit organisations agencies.

Aim of the Funding

The 2024-2026 funding aims to provide one-off funding to address an identified service delivery gap for victims of crime in Queensland including those victims from marginalised groups. Marginalised groups include Aboriginal peoples, Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, the LGBTIQ+ sector, people living with disability, the elderly, the young, and people in regional and remote locations.

Not for profit services are invited to offer a proposal for a one-off building capacity project (the Project) to address an identified gap.

Beneficiaries of the Funding

The beneficiaries of the funding are victims of violent crime in Queensland including victims from marginalised groups such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, people with disability, the elderly, people who identify as LGBTIQ+, young people and children, and people from rural and remote areas. However, projects may build capacity in services to the ultimate benefit of clients.

Amount Available

The total pool of investment (non-recurrent) in 2024-26 is $200,000 (GST exclusive). Applicants can submit a project that requires less than $100,000. No project requiring more than $200,000 or requiring ongoing funding will be considered.

More than one project may be selected for funding. However, the total funding pool for all projects is $200,000.
