Description

The Public Transport Authority of Western Australia operates several fleets of diesel powered railcars which provide passenger services to major country destinations as follows:

  • 7 Prospector railcars operating between Perth and Kalgoorlie;
  • 2 Avon link railcars operating between Perth and Northam/Merredin; and
  • 5 Australind railcars operating between Perth and Bunbury.
    1. It is required that these railcars receive cleaning attention prior to each trip in order to present a high level of cleanliness and appearance to passengers.

As an adjunct to the railcar cleaning activities, the Contractor will be required to clean offices, amenities and toilets at the Kewdale Prospector Depot.

All operating railcars are to receive cleaning attention prior to each one-way trip. This cleaning attention will be required at Kalgoorlie, East Perth or Kewdale for Prospector/Avon link railcars, and at Picton and Perth for Australind railcars.

Three Mandatory Briefing Sessions

The first Briefing Session will be held on Tuesday 29th, April 2014 at 3.30pm at the Prospector Maintenance Depot, 536 Abernethy Road Kewdale to view the Prospector Railcar and cleaning facility. Tenderers attending the Briefing Session must contact John Gould E: [email hidden] by noon Thursday 24th, April 2014 to record their attendance.

The second Briefing Session will be held on at the ARG Picton Depot < Lot 9 South Western Highway Picton WA 6229) at 10.00 pm on Wednesday 30th, April 2014 (The time is due too the availability of the railcar) to view the Australind Railcar and cleaning facility. Please contact John Gould E: [email hidden] by close of business noon Monday 28th, April 2014 to record their attendance and seek information on the meeting place.

The third and final Briefing Session will be held on at the Kalgoorlie Station Forrest Street, Kalgoorlie at 3.30pm pm on Tuesday 6th, May 2014 to view the Prospector Railcar and cleaning facility. Please contact John Gould E: [email hidden] by close of business noon Wednesday 30th, April 2014 to record their attendance and seek information on the meeting place

Steel cap safety boots and high visibility ORANGE vests are required Tenderers who fail to attend or be represented at the mandatory briefing shall not be eligible for consideration under this request for tender.
