Description

The successful Tenderer will lead, manage and deliver the services of the Child and Family Wellbeing Unit to support and encourage young people and families to reach their potential and to promote safety in the community.

The successful Tenderer will also provide personnel to act as the Child Welfare Officer under the Child Welfare Act 2009 (NI) and will provide interventions (statutory and non-statutory) that ensure Norfolk Island statutory child protection services meet agreed standards for Australian child protection systems and requirements under relevant Norfolk Island legislation, including statutory decision-making.

Services will be delivered across the continuum of child and family wellbeing services, including community education, parenting support, early intervention, case management, investigation of child safety concerns, family mediation, statutory intervention and support for out-of-home care placements.

The successful Tenderer will work in partnership with the local community and with other agencies on Norfolk Island, including health, education services and the police.
