Geoscience Australia
Boodjamulla-Croydon seismic data processing
Details
Description
Geoscience Australia, in collaboration with the Geological Survey of Queensland, has conducted the Boodjamulla–Croydon 2D seismic survey to gather deep-crustal and near-surface data across the geologically significant but underexplored region in northwest Queensland. Funded through the Queensland Government and the Resourcing Australia’s Prosperity initiative (RAPi), the survey provides new insights into subsurface structures that may host valuable mineral, energy and storage resources.
The processed results will be integrated with existing datasets to build a regional geological model and encourage future exploration and investment in the region, particularly in areas where gravity anomalies suggest concealed Proterozoic basins.
