Supply of Service and Maintenance of the Additive Manufacturing Machines for the Health Technology Management Unit

The HTMU has been an early adopter of digital technologies, including imaging and software, that has become common place within the medical industry. Virtual surgical planning, anatomical models and custom implants are increasingly being offered as clinicians become more interested in the possibilities that such technologies offer. This has led to the development of several devices, including the shoulder arthrodesis, custom acetabular cage, and titanium cranioplasty plate, that have evolved with improvements in tissue engineering. The development of new technologies has increased the quality and volume of anatomical models being offered by the HTMU as well as the range of new products and services. Surgical guides, including drill guides for placement of implants and screws, cutting guides for osteotomies, and moulds for maxillofacial prosthetics have become increasingly popular among surgeons and support staff. Training guides for medical procedures, and custom attachments to medical devices have also been developed using in-house Additive manufacturing machines. Maintenance of these Additive machines plays a pivotal role in HTMU to provide these above services to the clinicians and hospitals. Hence, East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) requires the Service and Maintenance of the Additive Manufacturing Machines for the Health Technology Management Unit.
