Description

The Royal Australian Engineers (RAE) and the Royal Australian Corps of Military Police (RACMP) both employ Military Working Dogs (MWD) in varietal roles. Both types of dog and any associated roles require flexibility to be employed in all Raise, Train and Sustain (RTS) and less than Non- Permissive environments. The General Service G-Wagon fulfils the transport requirement by mobility classification. The G-Wagon requires an MWD Module capable of transporting two MWD and that is secure, safe and removable.

To meet this capability requirement the Department of Defence, through the Land Materiel Sustainment Initiative (LMSI) within Headquarters Forces Command (HQ FORCOMD), ARMY, seeks to engage a contractor to: design; construct; and, deliver, 29 MWD Modules to be loaded onto the Australian Defence Force (ADF) G-Wagon Carryall 4x4 vehicles.

The MWD project will enhance the safe transportation of MWD for the Australian Defence Force (ADF) by improving the capability of its fleet of G-Wagon Carryall 4x4 vehicles through the acquisition of 29 MWD Modules.
