provision of hardware and services to support Geoscience Australia's SUN UNIX Environment

By this Request for Tender (RFT) Geoscience Australia seeks to enter into a deed of standing offer for the provision of hardware and services to support Geoscience Australia's SUN UNIX environment as outlined in Part D (Statement of Requirement).
Requirements include:
the ability to roll-up existing maintenance/support for all of its existing SUN hardware when the maintenance/support contracts expire with its current vendors;
the ability to procure hardware and services on an ad-hoc as required basis; and
the option to receive purchasing or similar credits on the trade-in of any SUN equipment being upgraded under the proposed deed of standing offer and would require a grace period of no less than three (3) months from the receipt of all equipment for migration purposes.
