Storage Replacement Program Phase 2 - SAN Fabric Switch Replacement

The PTA currently utilizes SAN Fabric switches which have exhausted their lifespan. To reduce risk and eliminate possible disruption to the business which may arise due to the use of the outdated end-of-support infrastructure, this project will replace the end of life SAN Fabric Switches as per the IT Infrastructure Asset Management Plan. These will be replaced with new Cisco MDS Fibre Channel Switches in line with the IT Storage Strategy. This will renew lifespan and supportability. The fabric switches are integral to the services that operational systems storage and business systems storage provide to the business.

The nominated supplier shall provide the PTA with:

• MDS 9706 32G Config Chassis Fans;
• MDS 9700 48-Port 32Gbps Fibre Channel Switching Modules;
• Enterprise Package License for 1 MDS9700;
• 16 Gbps Fibre Channel SW SFP+, LC
• 5 Years SNTC-24X7X4 MDS 9706 Chassis No Power Supplies, Fans;
• 5 Years SNTC-24X7X4 MDS 9706 Crossbar Sw;
• 5 Years SNTC-24X7X4 MDS 9706 Series Supe
• 5 Years SNTC-24X7X4 48-Port 32Gbps Fibre Channel Switching and
• 5 Years SWSS Upgrades Enterprise Package Licence for 1 MDS97.
