The Provision of the Karratha Regional Town Bus Services

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) seeks the services of an appropriately experienced and qualified service provider to provide regular passenger services.

The current contract for Karratha Regional Town Bus Services is due to expire on 31 December 2016. The new contract will commence on 1 January 2017.
The Request for Tender (RFT) documents contain detailed specifications on the service levels required to provide the Services from the Commencement Date. Tenderers are not required to demonstrate how they would implement changes to the Services at contract commencement. However, the Contractor is expected to proactively and continuously review services to maximise the cost effectiveness of service delivery and to improve patronage during the contract term. All service changes should be well planned and considered and comply with Regional Town Bus Services planning principles.
Tenders will be assessed on a value for money basis inclusive of cost impacts to the PTA as a consequence of the recommended outcome.
The RFT incorporates the Proposed Karratha Regional Town Bus Services Contract (Book 3) which contains the essential service requirements that Tenderers must consider when preparing and submitting their Tender response. If there is any inconsistency between the Tender document and the Proposed Regional Town Bus Services Contract, the Service Contract shall prevail.
The scope of services includes the following activities:
I. Provision of Bus Services in the Karratha Service Area;
II. Maintenance of buses as supplied by the Authority; and
III. Maintaining the Approved Depot.
