Description
DFES operational fleet contains approximately 1600 vehicles. The process to replace fleet requires a robust model that results in vehicle specifications and tender responses that meet both user requirements and State objectives. The subsequent delivery of ‘Fit for Purpose’ vehicles will better equip all our fire & emergency services to protect our community.
A key objective for this tender of the 1.4 Tanker is to deliver the ‘next generation’ of tankers through the application of contemporary technologies and integrated design, whilst still maintaining a high standard of safety and capability.
The expected outcomes from this Request will be:
- Supply of the 1.4 Tanker as a turnkey product;
- Provision of warranty servicing and critical spare parts; and
- Establishment of an emergency services manufacturing capacity in Collie.
