Adelaide 500 - Corporate & Public Catering Services

The Adelaide 500 is a four-day event staged by the SA Motor Sport (SAMS) on Adelaide’s world-renowned street circuit and surrounding parklands in the heart of the CBD.

The event is South Australia’s largest annual ticketed sporting event providing a vibrant mix of motorsport and other off-track attractions appealing to a diverse audience.

The Event precinct is a temporary street circuit located within a defined, fully fenced area in the East Parklands of the City of Adelaide.

The race circuit is a 3.22km temporary street circuit created by a temporary infrastructure overlay on the existing road facilities.

The catering services requirement will be split in to two categories with a preferred supplier to provide experienced professional catering services for either the Corporate Hospitality and or Public Areas as outlined below;

• Category 1: Public Areas - food outlets and bars, servicing General Admission and Grandstand patrons within the declared area
• Category 2: Corporate Hospitality - as designated by the SAMS which has previously included private and shared hospitality suites within the declared area, this includes on track functions as may be required by SAMS corporate clients, and charity partners

Suppliers are able to provide a response for either category or both but as separate responses as per Part D.

The Catering Services contract must be in line with the pricing agreed by the Caterer/s and the SAMS to deliver the scope of work without any cost variations unless approved by the SAMS, and:

• Ensure the services meet the SAMS needs.
• Ensure quality food and beverage range is provided, in conjunction with event sponsors where applicable
• Ensure pricing is consistent with events/venues of a similar size and status to the Adelaide 500
• Use of South Australian produce where possible.
• Ensure service standards align with Event requirements.
• Ensure compliance of SA Government regulations including but not limited to:
  • Food standards
  • Electrical Products standards
  • Work Health and Safety
  • Liquor Licensing

This process will exclude backstage concert catering and marshal’s/staff/volunteer’s food and beverage packs.
